Gene Juarez Salons & Spas, the premier salon and spa organization in the Pacific Northwest, is conducting a search for an IT Manager. This individual will plan and manage the activities of the IT department in support of organizational goals and objectives.
Responsibilities include:
? Plans, manages and implements all aspects of the IT department including network administration, LAN/WAN support, data and systems integrity, stability, reliability and security, PC support and installation, Internet technology, software support, telecommunication administration, new technology research and development, and computer training.
? Provides leadership, supervision, trains, and manages supporting staff.
? Develops and recommends to the Director of Information Technology policies and procedures and manages the implementation of such policies and procedures.
? Consults with users, senior management, vendors, and technicians to determine computing needs and system requirements, including but not limited to computers, printers, network components, telecommunication equipment, and ancillary equipment.
? Identifies and reports information technology needs based on an awareness of current organizational goals, policies and strategic plans and makes recommendations to the Director of Information Technology regarding the acquisition and implementation of operating and networking systems and components.
? Plans and implements the acquisition, upgrade, and installation of new hardware, software, and telecommunication systems.
? Evaluates new initiatives and processes, and establishes methods for the implementation and maintenance of these.
? Coordinates project activities with other departments. Analyzes workflow and assigns or schedules work to meet priorities and goals.
? Participates in the preparation of short and long-term plans and budgets.
? Develops and maintains necessary relationships with hardware, network, software, and telecommunication vendors.
? Monitors current and accurate inventories of equipment, components, and software and assures compliance with software license agreements.
? Maintains up-to-date knowledge of information systems and technology methods, techniques and trends.
? Administers, maintains, and enhances a network of 20+ servers in a Windows Active Directory environment
? Proactively manages and monitors servers to minimize system downtime
? Performs, monitors and tests all system backups
? Performs disaster recovery planning, documentation, implementation, and testing
? Provides 2nd tier technical support services to users of the company's computer systems
? Oversees network security to protect against both internal and external intrusion
? Plans, performs and documents hardware and software repairs, upgrades and patches
? Administration, maintenance and coordination of voice technology to include telephone station hardware/software changes, voice system software upgrades and hardware maintenance and repair.
? Creates and promotes a high level of end-user satisfaction
? Performs other activities as determined by the Director of Information Technology

The Ideal Candidate will have:
5+ years experience in:
o Network administration supporting an Active Directory network with advanced knowledge of Windows2008 Server and network architecture and protocols.
o Administering and maintaining Microsoft Exchange, enterprise--level backup, firewall and antivirus software
o Supporting PC hardware, peripherals, operating systems and desktop client software including Windows and Microsoft Office
? Advanced knowledge of server hardware
? Working knowledge of all LAN/WAN related architecture and equipment, including MPLS and Cisco routers
? Ability to effectively organize and prioritize in a dynamically changing environment.
? Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies without formal training
? Excellent oral and written communications skills
? The ability to gather and analyze information to skillfully develop alternative solutions
? Outstanding keyboarding skills
? Reliable transportation, valid Washington State Driver License and good driving record
? Knowledge of telecommunications related architecture and equipment preferred
? MCSE Certification preferred
