Industry News | First travel tax relief models directory released by ...


March the 7th, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of State Administration of Taxation, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology yesterday jointly issued a notice to announce the first directory of travel tax relief models. A total of 220 models are in the list.

It is said in the notification that since January 1 this year, halve the travel tax of energy-conserved vehicles; the use of new energy vehicles are exempted from travel tax.

Energy-conserved vehicles and new energy vehicles are defined in the notification, the fuel consumption of energy-conserved is less than 6.9L/100KM; the concept of new energy cars is the same as the standard written in The Plan of Energy-conserved and New Energy Automotive Industry released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2010, including plug-in hybrid, pure electric and fuel cell vehicles.

The 50 energy-conserved passenger cars in the directory are all 1.6L or below 1.6L small-displacement cars, including more than a dozen mainstream joint venture cars, and national brands cars, including Shanghai Volkswagen Passat, Lavida, Octavia; FAW ? Volkswagen Golf 1.4T MAGOTAN 1.4T Sagitar 1.4T; Shanghai GM Aveo, Sail, Excelle; Dongfeng Nissan Sunny, Tiida, Chery QQ, A3; JAC Yue Yue and Tong Yue; BYD F3, G3, L3,; Changan BenBen mini, and Zhixiang.

The pure electric, plug-in hybrid buses and special purpose vehicles mostly enjoy the travel tax exempt, however many pure electronic passenger cars are not in the list.
